Applicable lens: Canon,52mm lenses such as Nikon, Pentax, and Sony
How to use: The lens hood is equipped with a female gong, which can be directly installed on a 52mm lens for use
Installation direction: align the top center of the lens and rotate it clockwise (cannot be reversed))
Note: When using this lens hood, it is normal that dark corners may appear when shooting at the wide-angle end.
1. In the backlight, side light or flash photography, it can prevent the entry of non-imaging light and avoid fog.
2. It can avoid the surrounding scattered light from entering the lens when shooting with forward light and side light.
3. In lighting photography or night photography, it can prevent the surrounding interference light from entering the lens.
4. It can prevent accidental damage to the lens, and it can also prevent fingers from accidentally touching the surface of the lens. It can also shield the lens from wind, sand, rain and snow to some extent.
There are many sizes of hoods, and the one that matches the focal length of the lens should be selected. The shorter the focal length of the lens, the larger the angle of view and the shorter the hood. If the hood of a standard lens is used on a wide-angle lens, it will inevitably produce the result that the image can not be imaged around the screen. On the contrary, it cannot play the role of the hood.
Lens hoods are widely used in backlight photography, generally speaking, to avoid glare. However, if the light source is close, glare may still occur. At this time, you can use your hand to block the hood on the side where the light source is located. Whether the glare is eliminated, you must observe it clearly in the viewfinder.
