Fiber optic adapter
Optical fiber connectors are optical passive components that are used in optical fiber communication systems. Most optical fiber connectors are composed of three parts: two optical fiber connectors and a coupler. Two optical fiber connectors are installed into the two optical fiber tail ends; the coupler serves to align the sleeve. In addition, the couplers are mostly equipped with metal or non-metal flanges to facilitate the installation and fixation of the connectors.
Features
The optical fibers are connected by the adapter through the internal open sleeve to ensure the high connection performance between the optical fiber connectors. In order to be fixed on various panels, a variety of fine fixing flanges are also designed. Both ends of the conversion adapter can be connected to fiber optic connectors of different interface types, and provide a connection between the APC end faces. Double or multiple adapters can increase the installation density and save space.
Features
The optical fiber connector is a device for detachable (movable) connection between an optical fiber and an optical fiber. It precisely connects the two end faces of the optical fiber so that the light energy output by the transmitting fiber can be coupled to the receiving fiber to the maximum extent And to minimize the impact on the system due to its intervention in the optical link, which is the basic requirement of optical fiber connectors. To a certain extent, the optical fiber connector also affects the reliability and performance of the optical transmission system.
Scope of application
Optical fiber distribution frame (ODF); optical fiber communication network; optical fiber broadband home; optical fiber CATV; optical fiber instrument meter; optical fiber local area network
product type
SC: Standard square connector, using engineering plastics, has the advantages of high temperature resistance and not easy to oxidize. The optical interface of the transmission equipment side generally uses the SC connector
FC: The external reinforcement method is a metal sleeve, and the fastening method is a turnbuckle. Generally used on the ODF side(Used more on the patch panel)
ST: Often used in optical fiber distribution frames, the outer shell is round, and the fastening method is turnbuckles. (For 10Base-F connection, the connector is usually ST type. Commonly used in optical fiber distribution frame)
LC: It is made with easy-to-operate modular jack (RJ) latch mechanism. The size of the pins and sleeves used is half the size of ordinary SC, FC, etc., which is 1.25MM. This can increase the density of optical fiber connectors in the optical fiber distribution frame.
