Swiss Nagra announced the launch of a new HD DAC decoder. This ambitious work is positioned in the market and supports decoding of all files currently on the market. It supports up to 24/384kHz PCM audio streams and DSD64/128 digital stream mastering audio files. Including Support DSD; FLAC; WMA; AAC; WAV and MP3 audio formats, Nagra HD DAC decoder integrates the popular digital playback methods, with USB, network and other interfaces, supports PC, Mac and NAS network hard disk playback.
The digital part of the module circuit in the gold shielded box of the machine was designed by the industry’s former Emmlabs designer Andreas Koch(One of the founders of the DSD format standard)Finish. It is equipped with a newly developed DSD decoding chip and adopts the DSD 2X version format. The sampling frequency is up to 5.6 MHz and the internal calculation accuracy is up to 72 bits, which improves the precision of decoding and greatly improves the clarity and musicality.
Uniform 4-layer DAC board(Two layers for signals, two for power). Digital ground and analog ground operate independently. Completely eliminate the influence of digital noise on analog circuits. Built-in 25 sets of high-precision and ultra-low noise power supplies(Two of them are used for separate high-speed USB to bypass bus power). The dense Elna SILMIC2 capacitor array provides super filtering. The output analog circuit part has a built-in driver stage, and is connected to the output stage by a precision impedance matching transformer that NAGRA is proud of. Equipped with a volume control knob and headphone output, it provides high-quality reproduction for headphone lovers to listen to computer HD files.
Most of the key components are customized by Nagra. For example, a number of large customized Teflon/Tin foil coupling capacitors; a customized American JAN electron tube used for the inverting transistor buffer of the balanced circuit, with an astonishingly high signal-to-noise ratio(Better than the 130dB SN/ratio of the decoding module)Compared with ordinary military regulations ECC82, it has higher specification consistency and longer life.
